365 Skies 1970 Giclée PrintTo celebrate the 36th Anniversary of his 365 Skies 1970, artist Salvatore Pecoraro has released an open edition Giclée print on paper based on this ambitious work of art. The original work, developed in late 1969 and completed in January of 1971, is made up of 365 (12" x 12"x 1") square vacuumed formed styrene panels. Pecoraro took a color-slide photograph of each day of 1970 at different times and places in California. The slide was used as the reference for creating an acrylic airbrush painting duplicating each day. When all 365 skies are assembled in calendar order vertically, the work is 7 feet high by 52 feet wide. Giclée Detail: Oct. 8 - Dec. 30 |
